ACESSE 50 is being held in Atlanta, GA on November 1st and 2nd. Team of three person from each state, with travel funding provided for one CSSS State Member. State teams sign up here. Below, are details for options for involving Associate and/or Affiliate members in this meeting. Keep in mind, this meeting will allow participants to rehearse ACESSE resources and collaborate on professional development. See the draft agenda for details.
Who can attend?
We’ve had questions about whether CSSS associate and affiliate members might be able to attend the ACESSE 50. The answer in short is “Yes,” but we have limited space set aside for the meeting.
Associate Members: There are two options for associate members.
-
Associate members could attend in one of the three spots set aside for each state. Keep in mind, travel for one state member will be provided. Travel for anyone else will need to be covered through other means determined by the state.
-
If a state does not have a state member able to attend the meeting, an associate member in the state can attend and have their travel covered.
Affiliate Members: We have set aside 10 slots for affiliates (Max 1 per organization initially) on a first-come, first serve basis. To sign up, complete this Google Form. For affiliates, in addition to paying your own way to the meeting, we would ask that you pay a small registration to cover the cost of your food at the meeting ($lunch per diem in nashville + 3 per person refreshment breaks).
Ideally, persons would attend who have a broad reach, with the ability to influence the practices of teachers and science leaders through the professional development activities they lead. Both associate and affiliate members would need to pay their own way to the meeting.
